Works In Progress

I was wandering around the other day taking pictures of the materials that are going in to some of my current projects. You know, as the days pass by with this crafting stuff, I think I’m getting better at identifying the patterns and colors that are pleasing to me, and I’m widening the array of textures I’m comfortable with playing with.

I liked all of my fun stuff so much that I made a collage out of them.  Can you guess what any of them are? Chances are you might recognize a pattern, or perhaps can tell where I’ve been lately, or the type of project.

I have three commenters who don’t ever comment on the blog itself - my mom, brother and aunt. They send me emails in response to my posts. Which is lovely, because I hear from all of them more. Thought I’d share a some recent comments.

My brother said of the lace crochet on the tree, “Sexy tree in lingerie!!!” Hehe.  (Oh, dear, I wonder what crazy search terms will find me now that I’ve typed that?)

My mother said of my local-purchases post, “Nice essay.” Uh, mom? You really sound like a teacher. It didn’t really sound like an essay, did it?

My aunt told me my memories of Iowa were heart-tugging, which pleased me immensely. She also says reading my blog makes her tired! A friend recently asked me where I find the time … um <shrugs> I don’t know. I don’t get enough sleep!!!

I know most of you guys don’t comment much, but I do so love to hear from people! Y’all make my day when you say something and I’m all “hey, lovely people! that’s so exciting!” - and that goes for the two of you who leave me notes a lot, too!

Finally, I’d like to present kitty-Callie’s comment about all my crafting. She’s very eloquent. Body language says it all, right?
